1. Spear Technique Paired Forms Experience

The Fūden-ryū Spear Technique Paired Forms Experience is an introductory program where participants can safely learn the movements and kata of traditional spear martial arts. The instructor carefully explains etiquette, stances, and footwork, then guides participants as they practice basic paired forms using wooden spears. Rather than relying on brute strength, the focus is on distance, breathing, and body balance. All equipment is provided, and beginners as well as international visitors are welcome. The experience concludes with a simple demonstration and commemorative photo. Feel the spirit of the samurai and the culture of Japanese martial arts with your own body.

2. Enuma Shrine & Yamanoshita Temple Complex

Hidden deep within the trees stands the ancient Enuma Shrine. Along its approach flows a stream long believed to bring victory, giving visitors a sense of inner strength. Located in Daishōji, a place renowned as a sacred land of the spear, this shrine resonates with the martial spirit and receives the earnest prayers for triumph from those who visit. At the back, the feudal lord’s teahouse still remains, where one can pause for tea and reflect on bygone days. In the Yamanoshita Temple Complex, the mossy stone walls, long stairways, and rows of red-tiled Kaga-gawara roofs leave a lasting impression. Kinjozan was designated a National Historic Site in June 2025. Traces of Sengoku-period warlords still linger quietly at the ruins of Daishōji Castle.

3. Shiatsu Experience, Kutani Ware Museum, and Kaga Hot Spring Villages

In the Shiatsu experience, a professional practitioner gently loosens the whole body in rhythm with your breathing, easing travel fatigue. Next, visit the Kutani Ware Museum. Kaga City is the birthplace of Kutani porcelain, and the museum exhibits masterpieces of Kutani ware along with other celebrated works of Kaga, allowing visitors to appreciate their vivid colors and profound history. The tour concludes at the Kaga Hot Spring Villages, such as Yamashiro, Yamanaka, and Katayamazu. Enjoy strolling through atmospheric hot spring towns, visiting public baths and foot baths, and savoring local sweets and cuisine. This fulfilling course refreshes both body and mind, while offering a full day’s immersion in the traditional culture of Kaga.
